Our team of development professionals in the Faculty works to encourage and foster philanthropy in our community and beyond, with alumni, foundations and corporations as we seek to support and enhance the research, teaching and service goals of our Faculty as we fulfill the University's founder's wish that the University be for the "uplifting of the whole people."
We are team builders and bridge builders, connecting our alumni communities wherever they may be, whether in Edmonton, elsewhere in Canada, or dotted in the far corners of the world.
Brief bios of our team
Development and Alumni Affairs
A native of Edmonton, Bob grew up in a family that is well immersed in hockey and business in this city. After receiving his BA from Cornell University, and completing a law degree at the U of A, Bob practiced law for 15 years before taking over management of the family business.
Bob is active in the community, volunteering his time with the Chamber of Commerce, the Concert Hall Foundation, and promoting athletics throughout the city. After serving as consultant to the Faculty for several years, Bob came aboard full time in 2002.
His work in Development and Alumni Affairs has culminated in the creation of PERAA (Physical Education and Recreation Alumni Association), a volunteer-driven association with a primary objective to reconnect academic alumni with their alma mater.
When he isn’t working to improve the community or reaching out to alumni, Bob can often be found jogging or on the golf course.
